Description
There are days when you want to show off a little more skin and a little more pride. Wave your non-binary flag in and out of the water in comfort and style. These gender neutral short swim shorts hug you like that favorite pair of briefs you wear to bed without riding up or showing a butt-cheek (or two). The solid black waist band sports a piece of your flag in the center front and sits below your belly button.
  • 85% polyester 15% spandex
  • Fully lined
  • Reenforced waistband
  • Machine wash in cold water
The non-binary Tomboier swim shorts are meant to make a statement. Show your pride in and out of the water any day of the year. These gender neutral swim shorts are cut just like our favorite Tomboier but with a touch of extra non-binary pride. They measure 9" from waist band to hem on the side, with an inseam of 3.5". The waist band measures 1 1/4" on its own (based on a size M, measurements can vary depending on size). The body of the androgynous, non-binary Tomboiers comes in solid black with digital printed non-binary flag print on the outside of each leg and a center front buckle flag piece on the waistband. Flag piece measures 2 3/4" in width and extends down the leg starting right below the waistband. Show off your purple, yellow, black, and white stripes anywhere, anytime.

We chose to digitally print the flag on the shorts to avoid any discoloration when washing or wearing. But the biggest reason we digitally printed these is it's better for our planet Earth. Water isn't wasted or contaminated and fabric waste is kept to a minimum. Like with all your swimwear, remember to wash off any chlorine or salt water off of them as soon as you get out of the water at the end of your day. It will help keep your swimwear looking like new longer.

Pair them with any top like a Flatsea for water-fun days and you're ready to go, or nothing at all. The gender-neutral cut allows for anyone to wear and enjoy them.
Size & Fit Guide

How do I know my size?

It took us a lot of research and a lot of testing on a lot of bodies in different shapes and sizes to come up with the sizing and fit for all of Outplay’s swimwear and sportswear. As much as we believe we’ve created really well thought-out and meticulously measured sizing system for our gender neutral clothing, we know not every style is right for every body type. Because of this, we’re constantly adding new cuts and styles giving you as many options possible for any fit. As we continue to grow, we will be adding more styles, sizes and designs that can fit your body and give you the comfort and confidence you’ve come to expect from Outplay.

All measurements refer to body size, not garment dimensions. Because our sizing is different from most traditional clothing companies, we suggest you use our size charts as a guide. The size you normally wear doesn’t necessarily translate into Outplay sizing exactly the same.

If you’re between sizes, we suggest you size up for t-shirts and sweatshirts, and go for the smaller size for sweatpants and tights.

Compression

When it comes to compression tops, it all depends on the level of compression you are looking for. If you’re looking for maximum compression and you fall between sizes, go for the smaller size. Always keep in mind our compression tops do stretch as they are made of spandex and spandex mixes and other stretchable fabrics. They are not traditional binders and their hold will never be as pronounced or as rigid as that of a traditional binder. They are made to be worn while swimming and being active, and can be worn for long periods of time without causing any harm to your body.

How to measure yourself

We always recommend you get someone to help you take your measurements. It’s easier and you get more accurate and precise measurements this way. If you take your own measurements, we recommend you do it in front of a mirror so you can have a better view of how you’re measuring everything all the way around.

CHEST:

With your arms relaxed and down your side, measure around the fullest part of your chest. Make sure to keep the measuring tape horizontal. Get a full measurement without tightening the measuring tape around you.

WAIST:

Measure around your natural waistline (the narrowest point of your upper body). Make sure to keep the measuring tape horizontal and don’t tighten it.

HIPS:

Measure around your hip bones which are at the widest point of your hip section.

INSEAM:

Measure the inside length of your leg, from your crotch down.

*inseam refers to the length of the garment, from the crotch seam to the hem. You can find style specific inseam details on each product page description.
**These are sizing guidelines. Please take your body measurements to determine you most accurate size.

If you’re on the borderline between two sizes, order the smaller size for a tighter fit or stronger compression. Choose the larger size for a looser fit. When it comes to compression tops a looser fit will not allow the compression materials to do their job.
